Get to know us! Here's a some insights into who we are with this one minute with Sally and Kate interview

'Who is the boss when you are both in the same kitchen?
Sally:  It depends on whose kitchen it is!
Kate:  Yes I agree! Though we have worked together for so long now that we know the way around each other's like our own.

Funniest food moment:
Sally:   My first effort at making spun sugar.   It stuck the teeth together of all my guests including the boy I was trying to impress – he is now my husband!
Kate: Funniest - it wasn't funny for me but my family thought it was hilarious - we went out for lunch as a child and I was offered Toad in the Hole - I couldn't understand why I would want to eat frogs and kept shaking my head and refusing to eat it.

Best food moment:
Sally:   I was recently a guest at The Savoy Grill and when the dessert came to our table the maître d' invited me to flambé the crepe suzettes in front of the whole restaurant – amazing!
Kate: It's not always the food itself but also the location - sitting on a terrace on a warm evening with the lights of Rio below and my first taste of ceviche- wonderful.

Ketchup or Brown sauce or no sauce at all?
Sally: No sauce at all – why spoil a good quality sausage!
Kate:  I am a ketchup girl especially in a bacon buttie.

Crème brulee or moulton chocolate cake?
Sally:  Has to be  some of both!
Kate: Always the chocolate cake - usually to share though

Best Food memory:
Sally: the first time I had liver and bacon many years ago.  I didn’t know what to expect, was slightly apprehensive but LOVED it and still do!
Kate: I remember going on holiday to Amsterdam as a young child and it all feeling very strange so I ate my 'comfort ' food every night for a week - egg and chips - but at least I knew what would arrive on my plate!

What people don’t know about you:
Sally When I was growing up I wanted to be a pilot!
Kate:  When I was a teenager I used to pretend to be Delia Smith and talk to myself as I made a new recipe for dinner - it obviously worked as I remember a particularly successful attempt at cheese and tuna soufflé - I didn't realise they were supposed to be difficult
