My World Kitchen My World Kitchen is a brand new CBeebies show for 4 to 6 year olds, and produced by Terrific Television, currently comprising 45 episodes with another 15 due on air Spring 2021. It celebrates the food children like to cook and eat at home. The programme is presented by children, the youngest 6 and the eldest 8, who invite us into their homes to see them cook a dish celebrating their own culture or heritage to share with friends. My World Kitchen is narrated by Ainsley Harriott who says: “My World Kitchen is a groundbreaking new cookery show for CBeebies and I’m extremely proud to be part of it. Watching young kids cook sophisticated family recipes that come from all parts of the globe is what makes this show truly unique!” Fun and factual, these programmes show the children cooking from scratch, making food approachable and easy, as well as finding out about where it comes from and how it grows. My World Kitchen is a brilliant CBBC series which takes you into the houses of lives of children from a range of diverse backgrounds. We see young children preparing and making a variety of healthy dishes from around the world, at the same time demonstrating how sharing and trying a new food can be great fun. 'At a time when take-away and convenience foods are helping drive childhood obesity rates to ever higher levels, programmes like these are badly needed to encourage parents to get their own children cooking and trying a wider variety of foods.' Michael Mosley, TV presenter and author Travel thousands of miles from Jamaica to Scotland, India to Italy without even leaving the UK and discover the rich and diverse cuisines alive in our homes.
